CASTING SYMPOSIUM IN EDINBURGH, 27 JUNE

Following the success of last year's symposium, Spotlight is sponsoring another casting symposium as part of the Edinburgh Film Festival and the Actors Expo in Edinburgh on 27 June.  The primary subject we will discuss is Casting and the Internet. 

The panelists will be as follows:

Are you a teacher as well as a casting director? does one need be in your class to get work?

Yes, I am a casting director and a teacher. There are many casting directors who provide courses as well. It's typical and at CSA (Casting Society of America) I receive many queries about teaching casting workshops. Some of my students have been cast. Of course there are many actors who are cast and have never stepped foot in my classes.
